Aspire FCU Soars with New Web Site
Hitcents developed an award winning web site for Aspire Federal Credit Union in Clark, New Jersey. The
following is a release from the New Jersey Credit Union League. Awards were presented at their 2009
convention.
CLARK, NJ – Name changes and rebrands are tough for any company, but in the credit union
system they can make or break you with the membership. For Aspire Federal Credit Union,
previously FAA Eastern Region Federal Credit Union, these tasks have really helped the credit
union take shape. The credit union’s new Web site speaks worlds to what their new brand and
name are trying to do, winning the credit union the 2009 Web Site Award for their asset
category.
“The decision to change our name to Aspire Federal Credit Union was made because we serve
more than just the employees of the Federal Aviation Administration. The name Aspire means
to ‘soar,’ which is a reflection of our heritage, while at the same time represents our members’
dreams and aspirations,” says the credit union’s Web site.
The homepage speaks to this idea offering a “What do you Aspire to do?” toolbar that provides
options like buy a car, get out of debt, retire, own a home and more. Upon clicking these
options, the site provides ways in which Aspire FCU can help a member reach these financial
goals.
“As our tag line states, ‘Your Dream. Our Purpose,’ the employees at Aspire FCU are dedicated
to helping make your financial goals and dreams a reality. The cornerstone of our existence
continues to be our ‘members first’ philosophy. Whatever it is that you aspire for, we want you
to believe you can get there and we’re going to help you along the way,” states the site.
Aspire FCU’s Web site is easy to use and navigate with often used options right on the
homepage and a “Quick Links” drop-down menu right at the top of the screen. Online banking
and Bill Payer are just one click away. Finding a branch or an ATM is as simple as inserting your
zip code and clicking “Go”.
Members can apply for most things online without having to visit a branch and even though
you leave the site, the branding remains the same throughout the process. Non-members can
even apply for membership right online with eligibility requirements listed on the site.
One of the most convenient things about Aspire FCU’s Web site is the Live Chat feature, which
is available Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. Someone is available during
those times to answer questions virtually so the member can get an immediate response
without having to call the credit union.
The site is bright, colorful and engaging; the most useful information is right on the homepage
or just one click away; and everything a member could “aspire” for financially is covered.
