WKU Athletics Launches WKUChampionshipEffort.com
By Western Kentucky University
Bowling Green, Ky. - With the beginning of the 2010-11 sports seasons, Western Kentucky University Athletics is excited to announce the launch of
WKUChampionshipEffort.com - an interactive website which will work in conjunction with WKUSports.com to highlight the department's success across its
19 sports.
In partnership with Hitcents, a Bowling Green based web development company, WKUChampionshipEffort.com will allow fans and prospective student-athletes
an in-depth look at WKU Athletics. It will also replace the traditional media guide as WKU revises its printed publications for the 2010-11 seasons, by transferring a
majority of its information to digital media.
"The wkuchampionshipeffort.com site, coupled with printed Information Guides for each sport, will enable us to provide information and content to a variety of
people in a more efficient and effective manner," Senior Associate Athletic Director Todd Stewart said. "This new medium enables the user to quickly access
information about WKU, the student-athletes and coaches for each of our 19 sports, our outstanding facilities, and our rich history and tradition."
WKUSports.com will continue to be the official home of WKU Athletics. However, WKUChampionshipEffort.com will serve as a site to showcase Hilltopper and Lady
Topper sports - both on and off the field and court. In-depth pages are already active for football, soccer and volleyball, with individual pages for the remaining
sports going up in the coming weeks and months.
Additionally, fans can also now keep up with all the happenings in WKU Athletics via the official twitter page of the department: @WKUSports.
